BevShots. Alcoholic Art

Bevshots are photographs of alcohol under a microscope. These high-quality photographs of your favorite beers, wines, cocktails, liquors, and mixers were taken after they were crystallized on a slide and shot under a polarized light microscope. As the light refracts through the beverage crystals, the resulting photos feature naturally magnificent colors and composition. Remember to Decorate Responsibly!

About the Artist: Lester Hutt

Lester Hutt is the founder of BevShots MicroArt, LLC a company that creates artwork and products featuring microscopic photos of different beers, cocktails, wines and liquors. Hutt has an eclectic background that includes science, business and design. He has worked on Mars rover projects with NASA to look for evidence of past life, and he also worked with product development teams at Apple, Inc. when Steve Jobs was revolutionizing the company.
Hutt has always been fascinated with modern art. However, he never took any formal art history or art appreciation classes, and he never could fully understand the complex explanation behind an artist’s piece. When he discovered the microscopic photos of alcohol by Michael Davidson, Hutt immediately felt that there was a market for these photos… not only did they have a vibrant, modern appeal to them, but they also had an interesting and easy-to-explain story behind them.
