Banksy has been actively redefining the street art scene since the 90’s. Banksy is a pseudonymous England-based graffiti artist, political activist, film director, and painter. For over a decade his street art influence has bled over into the arena of pop art, becoming the first unknown underground artist to have his work hanging in celebrity homes, as well as to be nominated for an Academy Award for his documentary film Exit Through the Gift Shop in 2011.
